This wonderful umbrella is a French Shepherd's umbrella dating from the early 1900's ~ Every summer, the shepherd guides his flock into the mountain pastures and he was equipped with his dog and his umbrella. Covered with cotton which is dyed using indigo but has faded to a ver y very pale blue on the outside and a pale blue on the inside! ~*~ the outside is more faded than the inside, just GORGEOUS ~ This umbrella would make the most wonderful decoration for any room , I like to hang them from the ceiling! ~*~ This gorgeous antique has a wonderful fade pattern and there are some storage marks and storage dust on this textile, which is part of the magical charm. There are a few very small holes, some marks , some rust stains , small tears etc. Please use the zoom feature to view condition closely ( condition reflected in the price) ~ It would make a remarkable room display ( #12) MEASUREMENTS : This wonderful umbrella measures 41 inches long and when opened out, measures approximately 51 inches in diameter!
