SHADOWLINE Blue Peignoir Robe & Night Gown NOS w/Tags, Feminine, Demure, VTG 80s

Description: NOS New Old Stock Vintage Shadowline peignoir set in UNWORN condition with original sales tags. This set is light blue and has lovely pink floral embroidery trim detail on the collar and is from Vintage 80s with bust to 40 inches. The set includes a night gown and robe to complete this peignoir set which is knee length. This set is light blue in color. Both the robe and night gown have a romantic, feminine, yet demure stitching detail at the collar of both the gown and the robe. The nightgown has a rounded neckline with lovely collar detail. This is gathered under the yoke and both front and back and has a very figure forgiving fit. This gown is sleeveless. The matching peignoir robe also has a rounded neckline with the same floral details on the collar. This has 6 buttons up the front of the robe with 2 pockets - one on each side of the side seams that are hidden. The sleeves are the robe are short sleeves to the elbow. These are unworn. These were sales samples and were show to customers to see quality and workmanship before they purchased. I purchased this and over 350 vintage sets in NOS New Old Stock condition. The nightgown was model 37043 and was from the Fall1985 collection from Shadowline and came in Bluebelle, Pink, Lilac, Orchid and Navy. This is the Bluebelle color - which is a light blue. The retail price of the night gown was $16. The peignoir robe 77043 and retailed for $24 in 1985. This set combined would have retailed for $40 in 1985 (this is the equivalent of over $99 in today's monies). The size on this says small - but these are a very generous cut and should easily fit a modern small to medium today. Please see below to see if these will fit you. Robe: Small (very forgiving sizing) shoulder to shoulder is 14 1/2 inches Sleeves are 7" inches on inside and 11 inches on outside edge. Around bicep area is 14 inches armhole is 20 inches Bust is 42 inches waist is 47 inches hips are 54 inches length is 41 1/2 inches Night gown: Small (very forgiving sizing) bust is 40 inches sleeveless armhole is 20 inches waist is 56 inches hips are 62 inches length is 40 Tag inside say All Nylon (This is the Shadowline Black and White Pendant Logo. Made in USA Machine wash This has the black and white Shadowline tag inside These are machine washable. CONDITION: Mint condition with no signs of wear or use. These were sale samples and have not been worn. The original sales tags are on these units. It does not get any better than this. The nylon and workmanship is lovely. Feminine and demure.....and the light blue color with embroidery stitching detail is divine! If you have not worn a vintage Shadowline piece - prepare to be surprised! The nylon is so much better than anything that is use today. The attention to detail is lovely. So many of the new pieces do not last one year. I have had Shadowline pieces that are over 10 years old that I am still wearing from the 70s and 80s. I have purchased over 250 unworn Shadowline sales samples from 60, 70, 80s and 90s.
