Description: This is a set of 3 Olympic pins from the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. These are used, although 1 is still on the card un-used. I'm considering them used, but I doubt they have ever been worn, I can't guarantee it. I was fresh out of college and started my first full-time job at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta weeks before the Olympics started. I remember sitting outside during my 30 minute lunch watching all the visitors walking up and down the sidewalks that they had literally just finished laying the last paver the night before the Olympics started. I would walk down to my bus stop after work and there were vendors and shops selling all kinds of Olympic souvenirs. Pin were being sold a traded on every corner. I'm not sure if these were ones I purchased during the Olympics or ones I bought or traded afterwards, some I found in thrift stores, I collected many. They all have their pin backs. One I can only assume is representing Artistic Swimming, which includes synchronized swimming. It's not one of the popular events, perhaps that makes it even more special, as you won't find a lot of them available. I do not offer returns or international shipping.
