Description: Here is a very unique May 1964 Schwinn Stingray 100% untouched & originally Violet pearlescent. I found this hanging in a literal Barn wrapped in a really tattered old tarp. The original owner said it was his boyhood bicycle & when he grew older he eventually stored it away wrapped up for safe keeping & forgot about it. over 35+ years of storage later the tattered almost non existent tarp revealed the worn away purple color that still shows next to the factory aluminum color base coat. It’s also shows its original stencil’s & decals on the frame and chainguard. I put new tubes in the tires to keep them inflated to protect the original Whitewall Tires. This is the patina king of Schwinn stingrays! I mean 100% untouched & original parts! Center stamped 36 spoke s2 rear wheel with no damage & is working! Center stamped s7 front no dents or damage other than a little surface rust.. Un crimped Person square back sissy bar. Deluxe tufted person solo polo discolored but still soft & pliable! Small Q, long seat bolts. Early headset. I have resisted the temptation to tear it apart to clean & polish everything. I have lot’s experience with these bikes to know the Original Chrome on this bike should polish up really nice. This has to be one of the most unique untouched & rare Original 1964 Schwinn Stingrays to come up for sale so don’t miss out. It has been in my possession for about 10 years & time to let some stuff go. Keep an eye out for more of my awesome original stingray’s & Schwinn stuff.
