From Wiki.: A snuff box is a decorative box for snuff (tobacco). Snuff boxes were popular from the 18th to mid-19th century, when snuff, a mixture of ground tobacco and scented oils, was a fashionable habit. Snuff was inhaled through the nose, and snuff boxes were used to contain it. The boxes were often highly decorated and valuable, and became collectors' items in the 19th century. You are responsible to read the entire description. Sold as is.
