Description: This is an unusual cWW1 vintage patriotic envelope with a picture of a Union Jack entitled How the Union Jack was made.It was originally issued with BRIGHTMANS Compliments and consists of a Union Jack that unfolds into three parts of the flag showing you how each flag St George(England), St Andrew(Scotland) and St Patrick(Ireland)when applied in the correct folding order create the famous and iconic Union Jack.It is in a superb little used condition and the actual flags measurements are 11cm long x 7.9cm wide and the envelope measures 12.1cm long x 9.7cm wide.Thenunion Jack is occasionally found but never with its original envelope which is normally thrown away.
