Salome A Tragedy In One Act Oscar Wilde Heritage Press HC Slip Case + Sandglass

Description: Up for sale is a copy of the 1945 published Oscar Wilde book "Salome: A Tragedy in One Act" by The Heritage Press. This is a hardcover book that comes with its original slip case. It also comes with an issue of "Sandglass." The text was translated from the French by Lord Alfred Douglas. It features an introduction by Holbrook Johnson and illustrations by Valenti Angelo. Pages have fully decorated borders. There are some full page, full color illustrations. There are decorated endpapers. The slipcase is undecorated. There are embossed decorative black boards. Text is not printed back-to-back as is standard. Rather, text is printed on a large sheet that is folded over so that pages appear uncut at the top and blank pages are in between. Book is mint with the exception of a former owner's "Ex Libris" nameplate label on the inside front cover. Issue of "Sandglass" has no tears or creases. Slip case shows some wear and has some residue from a round sticker on its front side. Please see my detailed high res photos because my photos are part of the listing description.
