Cedar oil is today predominantly known as the base for many perfumes, colognes and home fragrances due to its amazing aromatic rich scent. Red Cedar is porous and contains tiny pockets in the wood grain. These pockets create a type of insulation for cedar furniture that protects it from changes in temperature which makes it extremally durable from rot and decay, even in humid conditions or exposed to the elements.
