Description: THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT THIS DESCRIPTION I do not know for sure what this great RPPC depicts and so far have not found another one on-line. Here is what my research may have found. The AZO Stamp Box has Triangles in all four corners pointing up, indicating circa 1904-1919. In 1905 President Roosevelt created the US Forest Service. The men are wearing; boots, hats, shirts, "Rough Rider" style pants, and canvas leg gaiters that (with my bit of googling, not an expert) seem to resemble the early work attire the new Rangers wore. They do not appear to be military. The tools they are posing with are shovels, Pick-axes and fence posts? The tent compound in the background has single center-poles and a teepee style roof. There is a wagon hitch in the lower right foreground. Feel free to message me with more info if you have it, before or after you buy it.
