Description: Real looking and not weird looking like all Indian made armor is. This armor is made for a Roman legionary Officer and is in solid brass (not plated like Indian armor) as a muscled cuirass with breastplate & back armor and brass shoulder guards which the Indians also never do. Made for a Legionary Legate, Consul, Prefect, Tribune or Praetorian and done in a real muscled look unlike the weird Indian ones you see all the time. Also, these are my own pictures that i took of my work and not ones stolen from other dealers and Museums which these same Indian armor companies do all of the time and say they can make that armor but they really didn't. Don't let them fool you. or make a fool of you for believing you can buy something for nothing. You are buying the plain brass muscled armor only but I can decorate it for you if you wish for an extra fee. The more decorated you want it, the more it cost. I use my nearly fifty years of both being an artist and knowing Roman history knowledge to make you accurate Roman art designs and not some weird looking Indian made up art that they say is Roman. They truly do not have any classical knowledge of both Greek and Roman art. Here is what I measured on the outside diameter of the armor on both the front & the back. On the breastplate, it is 24.50" under the arm pit & across the chest. On the breastplate stomach, it is 21 inches. On the backplate chest area, it is 24" & on the back plate stomach area, it is 23". If you add the chest front plate to the backplate, you get a total of 48.50" around. If you add the breastplate stomach to the backplate stomach, you get a total of 44" around. Most American men and most of my customers do not have the waist size as American men did in the 1940's. Fast food and preservatives are my guess. I wear a 43 waist, so it will fit most American men as is. I can however add brass plates to the sides to make the armor bigger & extend the armor as I have done that in the past. Many times, I actually make & attach the pertuges to the armor to get around this subarmalis size issue. One thing I can do is work on it as a project to decorate it for customer.
