Description: Roman Imperial silver denarius of Vitellius, 69 A.D., Sear RSC 21, BMC 1, 3.1 gms, 16-17 mm. The obverse shows the legend "A. VITELLIUS GERMANICUS IMP. ", with the bare head of Vitellius to the right. The reverse shows "CONCORDIA P.R.", with Concordia seated left, holding a patera and cornucopia. Good facial detail on the profile portrait, with hairline and ear visible. There is a small scrape on the neck, and jaw, at the ear. On the reverse, there is a small group of fine line scratches above the head of Concordia, and a similar group in front of knees of Concordia. Both sides are nice original color of grays and silver with some darker toning. This is a genuine original coin, not a copy, replica, or reproduction.
