Description: Very nice commemorative US Patent Plaque made by the Ben Silver/Massillon Plaque Company. The plaque features the United States Patent Office Patent document for a "3-D Sonar Image Display" that was patented by an employee of Rockwell International Corporation in 1991. The Rockwell Int'l Company was heavily involved in NASA and aviation projects which this technology was almost certainly used in. The patent number is 5,077,704. The Ben Silver/Massillon Plaque Company is still in business today and produces Patent Plaques which cost hundreds of dollars. It features two thick metal signage plates mounted to thick, solid hardwood (likely Walnut). This plaque measures 17" tall by 11" wide by 3/4" thick and weighs 3 pounds 15 ounces.
