Description: Antique Miniature Tea Set - Children's Dishes - Ridgway's Stoke on Trent, Persia pattern miniature tea set, made in England. Beautiful children's dishes tea set from the 1880s. This is just great condition for the age it is, with only slight glaze crackling on plates and inside the cups - you'd have to look for it. No chips, breaks or repairs. Lovely transferware gold and rust red flowers scroll along each piece and inside the cups, just like the "adult" version of the Persia pattern. The pattern varies which makes it even more lovely - look at the plates. Cream base with wheat/golden colored handles. The pieces are marked Ridgways Stoke on Trent - Persia and the number 26 with red hand painted numbers as well. If I haven't said it enough: This is a gorgeous set. This set includes 11 pieces plus a lid. Will ship fully insured. The shipping will be done with care. In 2022 the USPS ended the extra fragile handling that would have given this a better shipping cost. Now to ship something this special we use the double box method which is recommended by all carriers. This does increase the cost of shipping a lot since we are using two exterior boxes - incl a larger exterior box.
