Peru SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION The rhodochrosite crystals are partially coated with clear calcite crystals, which have goethite dotted on them. The luster of the crystals is good. The locality for this piece is the Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru. The overall dimensions are 11.5 cm wide by 6.5 cm tall and 5.9 cm front to back. The rhodochrosites are undamaged except at the edges of the piece.
