Restored Black Parker 51 Vacumatic Demi Fountain Pen, Lustraloy Cap, 14 K Nib

Description: This is a restored vintage Black Parker 51 Vacumatic Demi, with a Lustraloy cap in excellent condition (the demi-sized vacumatic was only produced in 1947 and 1948 and it is significantly more uncommon than the regular sized 51 vacumatic). The pen is free of cracks, deep scratches or personalizations. It is ready to write and it has a smooth nib. Please see the photos and full description below. The pen has been fully serviced. It was disassembled, the nib, feed and collector were ultrasonically cleaned and it was manually and lightly polished after covering the imprints and metal parts. A new, correctly sized, diaphragm was installed. After assembling the pen, it was inspected, tested and nib was adjusted for smoothness. It writes nicely, with good flow and should be ready to write for many years. Nib: 14 K gold, it writes a smooth slightly wet fine-medium line (please, see the writing sample in the last photo. The Squares are 5mm X 5mm).Filling system: Vacumatic filler with new, correctly sized, diaphragm .Size: about 4 13/16 inches (~ 12.2 cm).Body: The plastic is very clean, and there are no cracks or deep scratches (there may be micro-scratches and some light scratches). Cap: Lustraloy. The cap is in excellent condition with no dents or dings. It has micro-scratches and light scratches compatible with the age and use.Clip: the clip is firm and excellent. Jewel: Excellent condition.Imprint: The barrel imprint is a a little weak, but readable. The date code is "7." (third quarter of 1947).Personal engravings: NONE. Feel free to ask any questions.
