Description: Pre-Paid Pipe Restoration: Estate pipes are so unique and touching; a very personal object & You have a pipe that needs to be restored. My pipe restoration process is highly manual & detail orientated, think 2-4weeks. Each pipe represents many hours of work. The restoration begins with basic clean-up and ash cake removal. Sometimes the old finish can be saved and sometimes the outer finish needs to be stripped and rebuilt. (This will be discussed and agreed upon before the work begins.) Then all components are recleaned and sanitized using hydrogen peroxide, grain alcohol and if needed Wood Soap, & beeswax. All products used in the restoration are food safe. All stains, if used, are alcohol based. I use Everclear alcohol for cleanup for the exterior and Everclear & or rum for the interior. Stems are treated with StemShine to protect them from oxidation and help them look great. Exterior final finish is pure Carnauba, which is buffed on in 3 layers. I restore every pipe as if it were for my own use. Limitations: Somethings can not be fixed. If your meerschaum is cracked or pieces of material are missing; I am not magic. 1.
