Description: This box is an early Union Metallic Cartridge Co. (UMC) .44 S&W Russian box. It's style is very characteristic of the early UMC boxes, featuring the single "Dog's Head" logo, along with the image of a S&W 1st Model Russian. The originals of this box are extremely rare in any condition. All of the boxes I've recreated all date to the 1880's and are what collectors now, for obvious reasons, refer to as "picture boxes." These are not photocopies or printed from pictures I've Googled. These are high resolution, digital recreations and are professionally printed. For reference, I've included a picture of an original at the end of the photos. The reproduction box is, of course empty, with the side wrappers sealed. However, you can cut the wrappers and open it for display if you'd prefer. Buyer pays fixed shipping. Let me know if you have questions or need further pictures.
