OR - ANY radio where you can get COR ACTIVE LOWOne ground pulse on, one ground pulse off This means, one COR low pulse ON and one COR low pulse off How does this work? Using YOUR compatible Motorola radio as a "control" receiver, this device will allow you to open or close one set of contacts merely by pressing the mic button on a radio you set to your control channel. You can use this with any repeater you wish that you can cut the transmitter PTT line (assuming you wish to control your repeater transmitter) and connect to this device as described below. How do I use it? 1) Program your compatible Motorola radio on a frequency that your main duplexer of your repeater will pass (receiver side). Let's use an example that your main repeater frequency is 442.650 (RX frequency of repeater). You can program your control radio to 442.625 or 442.675 and use a "T" coax connector to connect BOTH your main repeater receiver AND your control receiver to the RX coax coming from your duplexer. You can use whatever antenna system you want for your control receiver but doing it my suggested way works perfectly and gives you the same coverage to control as the main repeater distance. Use an odd PL or DPL on your control receiver, program pin 8 of your compatible Motorola control receiver for DL/DPL COR ACTIVE LOW 2) Plug the 16 pin black connector into your control receiver 3) Cut your repeater transmitter "PTT" line and connect each wire you cut to the RCA female jack (provided). 4) Plug the male RCA plug from our box into the RCA jack you put your PTT line on. The RCA connector is where you will see a "short" across the center pin and shield or an "OPEN" when you toggle back and forth by simply transmitting momentarily into your control receiver. This can be used to control most low voltage things but is mostly likely going to be used for enabling or disabling your repeater transmitter. 5) Using a radio programmed to your control receiver frequency and PL/DPL, all you need to do it press your mic button once and the connection to your PTT line opens, press again and it closes the circuit again, enabling your repeaters' transmitter again. This is quite possibly the simplest way to remote control your repeater transmitter to take it off the air when you need to control some bonehead jammer.I know there will be somebody who asks "Can I use my Baofeng or whatever model radio as a control receiver?" Yes, but ONLY if YOU have the technical expertise to find COR (active LOW) in your radio! You MUST HAVE COR!!! The three wires going into this device are for +12 VDC, ground, COR (active LOW) input. That is it. Orange or RED wire is 12 vdc+ in Gray or black wire is ground Purple or blue wire is COR input (ACTIVE LOW) RCA male and female connector color may varyIf you do not have the technical skills to understand how to use this, PAY SOMEBODY TO DO IT FOR YOU! Be aware that each and every one of these is hand finished and 100% tested before it leaves here. So, that means if this does not work for you, then YOU have done something wrong.
