Description: Up for sale is a remanufactured in USA, 160 Amp alternator with a square, 2 prong RVC (Regulated Voltage Control) regulator plug (PLEASE SEE PHOTO OF CLOSE UP SHOT OF PLUG) that fits the following: 2009-2010 GMC SAVANA VAN V6, 4.3L, V8, 5.3L (ONLY FITS 5.3L ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH THE SQUARE 2 PIN PLUG RVC ALTERNATOR **SEE PHOTO CLOSE UP OF PLUG FOR CLARIFICATION**) . IT DOES NOT FIT 4.8L OR 6.0L GAS ENGINES AND DOES NOT FIT 6.6L DIESEL ENGINES. IT DOES NOT FIT 5.3L ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH THE WIDE OVAL 4-PIN PLUG ALTERNATOR. OUR UNIT IS A HIGHER OUTPUT 160 AMP THAT WILL REPLACE LOWER OUTPUT 145 AMP UNITS. Please compare your alternator with or actual pictures before placing your order. The 160 Amp version of this 145 Amp alternator looks very similar and they will mount up the same, but the 145 Amp version does not have the capacity to replace the 160 Amp version. The easiest way to determine which version you have is by looking at the thru bolts that hold the two halves of the Alternator together. The low amp version has standard-looking bolts, but the high amp version has thru bolts that are tapered in the center. The alternator includes a serpentine pulley. We are selling this unit outright so a core exchange is not needed. This unit has been bench tested using a D&V test bench and carries a 2 year warranty. As with all alternators, please make sure to install this unit in a vehicle which has a fully charged and load-tested battery. Also, please check all of the electrical connections related to the alternator to verify that there are no frayed or corroded cables, poor battery terminal clamps, or any loose or corroded connections in the system. Units which have been damaged due to negligence on the part of the installer are not covered under warranty. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify that this unit fits the vehicle's application.
