Description: A complete KTM Adventure 950-990Rear Brake Pump Repair Kit including a Glass Window Repair Kit. This repair kit re-uses the old piston, fitted with a new pair of seals, a new spring, a new circlip and a new KTM INVENTIONS design and construction bellow. This 7 items repair kit consists of : 2 EPDM SEALS, 1 STEEL SPRING, 1 STEEL CIRCLIP, 1 EPDM BELLOW, 1 GLASS WINDOW, 1 EPDM O-RING. Each order is shipped with four 15X10cm UVA resistant vinyl KTM INVENTIONS stickers. You can choose the colour combination you prefer from the 3 shown in the picture. Please study carefully and follow closely the separate detailed fitting instructions for the two kitsin English, Greek, Italian, French and Japanese : ---------------------------------------------- INDEX : 1. BRAKE PUMP SEAL REPAIR KIT 2. GLASS WINDOW REPAIR KIT ---------------------------------------------- ENGLISH : 1. REAR BRAKE PUMP REPAIR KIT FITTING INSTRUCTIONS : Remove the pump from the frame. Place it upside down on a vice, wrapped in a cloth to avoid scratching it. With special circlip pliers remove the circlip, the pushrod and the piston from the pump. Remove the spring from the piston with a strong pull. Take a picture of the piston to have as reference for the correct direction during reassembly. Remove the tiny circlip and the upper seal with the tiny copper washer. Push the lower seal with your two fingers to make room for a small flat screwdriver to slip underneath it and carefully remove it, taking care NOT to scratch the smooth surface of the piston! Use a smear of brake fluid to fit the two new seals in the correct direction, the tiny copper washer, the tiny circlip and the spring on the piston. 950s have a washer and a ball headed pushrod. 990s after 2006 have no washer and a straight headed pushrod. Use a smear of brake fluid to carefully push the piston back into the pump, spring first. Keep the piston pushed halfway down by pushing the pushrod with the one hand. With the other hand secure the circlip in the groove using the circlip pliers. Install the pump on the bike and fill it with DOT 5.1 brake fluid. WARNING! As the pump can reach 120C+ due to the nearby exhaust, to avoid hydraulic pressure damage from brake fluid expansion, fill it with DOT 5.1 brake fluid 1cm BELOW the max line inside the pump. ---------------------------------------------- 2. REAR BRAKE PUMP GLASS WINDOW REPAIR KIT FITTING INSTRUCTIONS : Remove the pump and lay it flat on a table. Use the two 8mm bolts as adjusters to stabilize and level the pump as shown in the pictures. Clean the two grooves with a cotton bud and alcohol. Place the O-ring in the groove. Use the tip of a tea-spoon as spatula to spread a tiny amount of a high temperature silicone gasket sealant on the two grooves and over the O-ring. Use a toothpick to remove the excess sealant that might run inside the pump. Use a tweezer to position the Glass Window centered over the O-ring and press it VERY GENTLY with your finger. If you press too much, the O-ring pops out of the groove and falls inside the pump. Don't panic! Remove everything, clean with alcohol and start the process again. Use a socket extension as a weight. Balance it vertically on the Glass Window as you see in the picture. Use the two 8mm bolts as adjusters to make the pump level and steady for the weight to balance undisturbed on the Glass Window until the glue sets, for a minimum of 8 hours. ================================ : 1. : . , . , . . . . , ! , , . , . 950 . 990 2006 . . . A O-ring, . . 8mm , , 8 . ---------------------------------------------- ITALIANO: 1. ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO DEL KIT DI RIPARAZIONE DELLA POMPA DEL FRENO POSTERIORE : Rimuovere la pompa dal telaio. Con le apposite pinze per anelli elastici, rimuovere l'anello elastico, l'asta di spinta e il pistone dalla pompa. Rimuovere la molla dal pistone con una forte trazione. Scattare una foto del pistone per avere un riferimento per la direzione corretta durante il rimontaggio. Rimuovere il piccolo anello elastico e la guarnizione superiore con la piccola rondella in rame. Spingere la guarnizione inferiore con due dita per fare spazio a un piccolo cacciavite piatto per scivolare sotto di essa e rimuoverla con attenzione, facendo attenzione a NON graffiare la superficie liscia del pistone! Utilizzare una macchia di liquido freni per montare le due nuove guarnizioni nella direzione corretta, la piccola rondella in rame, il piccolo anello elastico e la molla sul pistone. Le 950 hanno una rondella e un'asta di spinta con testa sferica. Le 990 dopo il 2006 non hanno rondella e un'asta di spinta con testa dritta. Utilizzare una macchia di liquido freni per spingere con attenzione il pistone nella pompa, prima la molla. Posizionare la pompa capovolta su una morsa avvolta in un panno, per evitare di graffiarla. Mantenere il pistone premuto a met spingendo l'asta di spinta con una mano. Con l'altra mano fissare l'anello elastico nella scanalatura utilizzando le pinze per anelli elastici. Installare la pompa sulla moto e riempirla con liquido freni DOT 5.1. ATTENZIONE! Riempire fino a 1 cm SOTTO il segno di livello massimo all'interno della pompa per evitare danni dovuti all'elevata pressione idraulica all'interno della pompa dovuta all'espansione del liquido freni, poich la pompa pu raggiungere i 120C+ a causa dello scarico nelle vicinanze. ---------------------------------------------- 2. KIT DI RIPARAZIONE DEL VETRO DELLA POMPA DEL FRENO POSTERIORE ISTRUZIONI DI MONTAGGIO: Rimuovere la pompa e appoggiarla su un tavolo. Utilizzare i due bulloni da 8 mm come regolatori per stabilizzare e livellare la pompa come mostrato nelle immagini. Pulire le due scanalature con un batuffolo di cotone e alcol. Posizionare l'O-ring nella scanalatura. Utilizzare la punta di un cucchiaino da t come spatola per distribuire una piccola quantit di sigillante per guarnizioni in silicone ad alta temperatura sulle due scanalature e sull'O-ring. Utilizzare uno stuzzicadenti per rimuovere il sigillante in eccesso che potrebbe colare all'interno della pompa. Utilizzare una pinzetta per posizionare il vetro al centro dell'O-ring e premerlo MOLTO DELICATAMENTE con il dito. Se si preme troppo! l'O-ring salta fuori dalla scanalatura e si deve rimuovere tutto, pulire con alcol e ricominciare il processo. Utilizzare una prolunga per presa come peso. Bilancialo verticalmente sulla finestra di vetro come vedi nell'immagine. Usa i due bulloni da 8 mm come regolatori per livellare la pompa e renderla stabile affinch il peso resti in equilibrio sulla finestra di vetro finch la colla non si solidifica, per un minimo di 8 ore. ================================ FRANCAIS : 1. INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE KIT DE RPARATION POMPE DE FREIN ARRIRE: Retirez la pompe du cadre. Placez-le l'envers sur un tau, envelopp dans un linge pour viter de le rayer. Avec une pince circlips spciale, retirez le circlip, la tige de pousse et le piston de la pompe. Retirez le ressort du piston en tirant fortement. Prendre une photo du piston pour avoir comme rfrence le bon sens lors du remontage. Retirez le petit circlip et le joint suprieur avec la petite rondelle en cuivre. Poussez le joint infrieur avec vos deux doigts pour laisser la place un petit tournevis plat qui se glissera en dessous et retirez-le dlicatement en prenant soin de NE PAS rayer la surface lisse du piston! Utilisez un peu de liquide de frein pour remettre dans le bon sens les deux nouveaux joints, la petite rondelle en cuivre, le petit circlip et le ressort sur le piston. Les 950 ont une rondelle et une tige de pousse tte sphrique. Les 990 aprs 2006 n'ont pas de rondelle ni de tige de pousse tte droite. Utilisez un peu de liquide de frein pour repousser dlicatement le piston dans la pompe, le ressort en premier. Maintenez le piston pouss mi-course en poussant la tige de pousse d'une main. De l'autre main fixez le circlip dans la rainure l'aide de la pince circlips. Installez la pompe sur le vlo et remplissez-la de liquide de frein DOT 5.1. AVERTISSEMENT! Comme la pompe peut atteindre 120C+ en raison de l'chappement proximit, pour viter les dommages la pression hydraulique dus l'expansion du liquide de frein, remplissez-la de liquide de frein DOT 5.1 1 cm EN DESSOUS de la ligne maximale l'intrieur de la pompe. ---------------------------------------------- 2. INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE DU KIT DE RPARATION DE VITRE : tirez la pompe et posez-la plat sur une table. Utilisez les deux boulons de 8 mm comme ajusteurs pour stabiliser et niveler la pompe comme sur les images. Nettoyez les deux rainures avec un coton-tige et de l'alcool. Placez le joint torique dans la rainure. Utilisez la pointe d'une cuillre th comme spatule pour taler une petite quantit de mastic lastique pour joint haute temprature sur les deux rainures et sur le joint torique. Utilisez un cure-dent pour retirer l'excs de mastic qui pourrait couler l'intrieur de la pompe. Utilisez une pince piler pour positionner la fentre en verre centre sur le joint torique et appuyez TRS doucement avec votre doigt. Si vous appuyez trop fort, le joint torique sort de la rainure et tombe l'intrieur de la pompe. Ne pas paniquer! Retirez tout, nettoyez avec de l'alcool et un mouchoir et recommencez tout le processus. Utilisez une rallonge de douille lourde comme poids. quilibrez-le verticalement sur le verre comme vous le voyez sur l'image. Utilisez les deux boulons de 8 mm comme ajusteurs pour rendre la pompe parfaitement de niveau et stable afin que le poids s'quilibre sans tre perturb sur le verre jusqu' ce que la colle durcisse, pendant au moins 8 heures, avant de remplir la pompe de liquide de frein. ================================ : 1. : 2 1cm DOT 5.1 120 ---------------------------------------------- 2. : 2 8 mm 2 2.
