Short hair length on middle and bottom of hide. Coloring is uniform throughout hide. Large areas with missing hair. Several large holes. Very heavy hide. This buffalo hide came from a ranch-raised U.S. buffalo that was raised for food. The buffalo was not killed just for the hide. Genus and species: Bison bison. Ranch. USA.
