READ! Sony WM-F2078 Sports Walkman | FOR PARTS, NOT WORKING

Description: Overall Condition: Very Good Model Number: WM-F2073 Biggest issue is the gray plastic on the front has become brittle. You can see that two of the buttons have disintegrated, revealing the switch on the circuit board inside the front cover of the Walkman. This is well above my pay grade to repair, even though when I bought this I didn't know that the plastic had become brittle. It was only when I started to try to test it for power to begin a replacement of the belts that I realized the plastic had deteriorated. At that point I figured I'd cut my losses and sell this beauty for parts. Luckily I didn't pay much to acquire it. The unit does power on with two AA batteries and the belt inside is most likely completely melted. The cassette deck doesn't play, rewind or fast forward. I didn't do much testing beyond that after the gray plastic started falling apart. This could be a great parts unit though because it's in excellent shape cosmetically other than the gray plastic.
