This 27" iMac, with an upgraded 64 GB of 2667 MHz DDR4 RAM, was my workhorse from July 2020 until April 2023. About that time, the internal Fusion Drive (HDD + SSD) failed. As you can see in the product images, I have tried installing macOS Sonoma but due to the failed hard drive, the installation won't complete on the failed internal disk drive which was confirmed via Disk Utility. THE GOODPristine Condition Aside from the failed drive, the display is in excellent condition and has no bad pixels or discoloration. The only imperfection are two teeny tiny marks in the lower right hand corner of the display glass (this is marked with a red circle in 9th image). The aluminum case is in excellent shape as well, with no major scratches or noticeable imperfections.Use As-Is with an External SSD You can still use this machine without ever opening it up to work on the inside. All you need is an external SSD and a fresh copy of Mac OS Sonoma on a bootable USB stick.Easily Convert to Display Only With a new logic board and some patience, you can convert this iMac into a 5k display that will attach to any video source.
