Our honey has not been pasteurized and is unprocessed Upstate New York honey. Our apiary is nestled in a lovely deep valley, with the foothills of the Allegany Mountains surrounding us in Cattaraugus County. Our wildflower honey comes straight from our apiary and surrounding hills. This honey is made from our 20 acre farm, planted with 3-1/2 acres of planted sunflowers, white clover, alfalfa, birds foot ( a pollinator mix), as well as local aster, wildflowers and goldenrod giving it a rich aroma, mild fruity flavor and a light golden color. This year we planted an acre of sunflowers that the bees loved. Our 20 acre farm has very little farming within 6 miles. We are very fortunate to have organic farmers around us that do not use pesticides or herbicides. Our bees are not moved around the country, they have a permanent home. Our honey is extracted from the hive using natural methods that preserve as much of the natural health benefits and flavor as possible. We use organic methods for treating hives and improving bee health. We do not use plastic frames or wax foundation from China. Our honey has not been pasteurized or heated, and unprocessed retaining all of it's natural health benefits and flavor, including grains of pollen and propolis. Unprocessed honey and honey comb contains all nutrients as pollen, enzymes, minerals, and vitamins. preserves the distinctive flavors, nutrients, important enzymes, antioxidants, trace minerals and pollen grains naturally found in honey.
