Description: RARE Vintage ROYAL CROWN DERBY 2 Handled Loving Cup TRADITIONAL IMARI Blue Gold Cup Size Approx.3"Tall x 3"Across top opening, 5" across handle to handle, base 3" wideUnique in that the cup has 2 elaborate gold gilt handles flanking each side, very lovely. Thick band of gold gilt trim at rim, at base, and throughout the pattern as outline/highlight Colors on this particular piece are outstanding- rich and deep. Pattern is a gorgeous Asian panels of deep cobalt blue and rust colored flowers and swirls against a pure white background.This gorgeous pattern is now discontinued and was made circa 1891-2014, truly 'the best of the best' Imari pattern. Classic and extremely elegant/sophisticated. Royal Crown Derby is well known for making 'deluxe' top quality tea & coffee setsSuper unique and collectible- the Loving Cup is a rare find and an unusual piece. Excellent condition, no flaws other than a miniscule fleck of gold paint loss on top of one handle, looks to be from time of production and is not from wear- incredibly hard to notice, see last pic. Cup has no nicks, chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, fading, no wear to gold- pristine for age. No signs of use whatsoever inside cup or on saucer.Fully marked on underside w Crown Derby markings and the hand painted small letters of 'VP' This is a stunning piece, magnificent and over the top.Great for a collector and would look very nice on display.
