Rare Vintage Regency Saphiret Cabochon Bracelet, Sumptuous, VFG

Description: This is a lovely, flexible signed Regency bracelet, made with saphiret stones, and blue and amber rhinestones. It measures 7" long, and a sizable 7/8" wide. Each cabochon saphiret stone is 3/4" long! Along with the 12 large saphirets are alternating blue and amber rhinestones. All stones are prong-set, with the saphirets having more substantial prongs. This is a very high-quality bracelet in very good condition. The images of the bracelet that show the cabochons as brownish were taken in outdoor lighting, and the remaining pictures, with the blue showing, were taken inside. The various pictures show off the varied color of the saphirets. As you may know, saphirets were made by fusing real gold with blue glass--the cost became prohibitive, so they can be hard to find. REGENCY made some beautiful pieces, and you are seeing one of them here. This bracelet is in very good condition. If you look very, very closely, you can see the speckling at the base of the stones that occurs during manufacture. You do not see this when worn. This bracelet has a push-in clasp, with an amber rhinestone topping the push-in portion. This is a nice detail, which Regency is well-known for. This is up for auction, starting at $199.
