Description: This exquisite paperweight is a true piece of history. It features an attractive photograph of the Administration Building from the 1933 Century of Progress Chicago World's Fair. The photograph is of the main facade of Administration Building of Chicago's 1933 Century of Progress Exposition, where approximately 200 workers engaged in exposition plans. The building was 350 by 150 feet, of modest design and located in the Outer Drive at Fourteenth St. The building, first exposition structure to be completed, was designed by three Chicago members of the World's Fair Architectural Commission -- Edward H. Bennett, Hurbert Burnham, and John A. Holabrid. The glass is solid and heavy, with a laminated photograph that adds to its beauty. The felt on the bottom protects surfaces. Very Good Used Condition. No chips, no cracks in glass. Photo is in good shape, but is partly lifted from the glass and slightly cracked/wrinkled in spots, or perhaps those spots were never attached fully - this defect will not photograph well, and does not interfere with function or viewing the photo. SEE PHOTOS. Photos are part of Item Description. This paperweight weighs 13 ounces, and is a perfect addition to any collection. The paperweight is from the United States and measures 4" x 2 5/8" x 7/8". It is a fantastic item for collectors of historical memorabilia and World's Fairs themes.
