Description: Description of the coin A coin of this type was produced from 868 silver in 1832-1858. The front and back sides have a protruding edge with inward-facing teeth. The obverse of the coin depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire, model 1830, in the central part. On the emblem is a double-headed eagle crowned with two imperial crowns, above is the same crown, but larger. The eagle holds a scepter with its right paw, and an orb with its left paw. The coat of arms of Moscow is placed on the chest: St. George on a horse, striking a serpentine dragon with wings with a spear. The Moscow coat of arms is surrounded by a chain of the Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called. On the raised wings of the eagle are the coats of arms of six kingdoms (three on each wing). On the left are the coats of arms of the kingdoms: Kazan, Astrakhan and Siberia. On the right are the coats of arms of the kingdoms: Poland, Tauric Chersonese and the Grand Duchy of Finland. Unlike the official coat of arms, the wings of the eagle are bent towards the center. To the left and to the right of the tail are the minzmeister's initials - "F" and "B". The coat of arms is surrounded by a relief ring, behind which the weight of the coin is indicated in a circle: "PURE SILVER 2 GOLDEN 10 1/2 SHARE". The beginning and end of the inscription are separated by a flower. On the reverse of the coin in the center is the inscription - "COIN", under it in a larger size - "POLTINA". Below the face value is an ornament in the form of two stylized lines with a dot between them. Below - the year of minting "1857", even lower - the letters "...", meaning "St. Petersburg". Along the edges of the coin are two branches (laurel on the left and oak on the right), tied at the bottom with a ribbon. At the top is the imperial crown.
