Description: Listing is for a pair of Roger Capron pottery table lamps. Roger Capron (1922-2006) dedicated his life to the arts and started his ceramics studio in Vallauris in 1946. His business grew considerably and he was responsible for the revitalization of the ceramics industry in Vallauris in those years. The identical pair of lamps is boudoir or accent size. Each has a white glaze with blue undertones and has decoration evocative of the Mediterranean. The pottery form is 8” tall and not quite 12” to socket opening. The base diameter is 3 3/4”. Each is signed Capron Vallauris France 58, which is when he became world renowned. Excellent condition showing no restorations or chips/cracks. The sockets and cords have been replaced. Signature required for delivery.
