Description: For sale is a rare-to-find Antique Primitive 18th to early 19th century Wooden turned Treenware master salt in the very early primitive style. Master salt is often an important display on a primitive farm table as salt is a precious ingredient in the early years. Probably made of fruitwood such as Pear or apple. Great original surface. The color has become muted over time. See picture for details. Great patina. It measures approximately 1.5” tall and 2” in diameter. The item is in excellent condition and is structurally strong!
