Description: This is a super rare - Partially labeled, Antique 19th Century? Wood & Iron Rat Trap by Lovell MFG Co (of Erie Pa?). Possibly their "Star" model? Trap is super heavy duty. and is about 7.25" tall, by 3.75" wide, by 6" deep.It weighs about 1 lb. Untested, but the spring loaded curved bar takes a lot of force to lift it up from the base (very powerful!) Paper label is tattered, but much of it remains, including the "Lovell" name at the bottom. Trap has a nice "old wood" patina!
