Description: COLLECTORS! Acer Palmatum Red Blush is a beautiful and curious selection of Japanese Maple. I suspect that there is a Japonicum lurking in its genes somewhere. It has fairly large, wide lobed, deeply serrated leaves that emerge a delicious pink red color. During summer the pink has a green motteling under it. Almost a variegation. They are strangely mapped with green veins that become most pronounced in fall. The red changes to green as another summer grows old and we are welcomed with a bright summer push of red once again. The fall display is multifaceted with oranges and reds all parsed out with the bright green veining. Once again in the sound of color I hear a loud Japonicum voice.
