Description: ANTIQUE GEBRUDER HEUBACH BISQUE PORCELAIN FIGURINE VICTORIAN ERA GIRL in GREEN DRESS ANTIQUE FIGURINE FROM GERMANY This listing is for a very rare find, an antique GEBRUDER HEUBACH bisque porcelain figurine. Made of fine porcelain that has been hand painted, the subject is a Victorian Era girl in a sequined green dress. The figure stands roughly 10" tall and approximately 3" at the base. Heubach figurines were produced in Germany, and the company was in operation from 1840 - 1925. This figurine has a matte finish indicative of the figures Heubach produced in the 1880's to very early 1900's, so I have conservatively estimated the figure to have been produced in 1900. Since by the early 1900's the company had begun producing glazed figurines, this one could conceivably be much older! The back of the figurine has an issue number of 7270 engraved above the "GH" logo used by Heubach to identify their work. An exceptional example of 19th century sculpture that would fit in nicely to any fine figurine collection! Condition: This figurine is in great shape with no cracks, breaks or repairs. The hand painted details are still quite crisp, with no noticeable loss of paint. There are a few areas where the added sequin beads have come off (circled, Pics #14 and 15). There is also a very minor flea bite on the back towards the base (Pic #16), near the Heubach mark. Considering the age of this piece, these flaws are extremely minor, and the figurine retains amazing eye appeal and displays exceptionally well!
