Description: In the mid-80s, I travelled to Cajun Country, Louisiana to spend a couple days with Artist George Rodrique to discuss representing him and his art on the West Coast. George was a larger than life personality, loved his wife and son, and their spacial estate that seemed to extend a city block in Lafayette. In truth, I was a young and inexperienced wannabe with a fledging poster art business wanting to break into the legit art business and George was my ticket. George was already getting $100,000 for his commissioned works. Anyway, the first afternoon we went to his studio and he started pulling out prints, some limited editions, for me to prime the pump in Los Angeles. Well, the next morning, after coffee you could stand a spoon in, we began an eating tour heading east on I-10 stopping at every famous Cajun chef's restaurant who would open their doors for George and prepare his favorites. I swear we ate four lunches that day with Jolie Blonde beer (see the original signed beer posters I'm also offering here on eBay - only two left) that would have even challenged Guy Fieri ending in New Orleans at the world famous Mulates for dinner (our official mid-day meal). This very rare Farmers Market Limited Edition (399 of 950) was purchased from a 5-Star New Orleans Estate Broker. Why 950? I have no idea but adds to the value of this unique Limited Edition. After review of this well cared for print and checking the signature against many others for authenticity, I had it meticulously mounted, masterfully remarked and beautifully framed in Cajun Red (22.5" X 27") by my personal framer. He is truly an artist. Upon close inspection, you will see the genuine character that comes with age. This artwork is ready to display in your home or office. For your peace of mind, this Rodrique collectible is now protected by the finest Tru-Vue Museum Glass blocking up to 99% of UV rays and virtually eliminating all reflection. I will pay for all shipping and handling costs. Note: The photo showing the unframed print is for you to get a better view of this stunning image. It is an unsigned print from the same run and identical in every other way. See signature and 399/900 from actual signed Limited Edition in photos displayed.
