RARE antique 1800's J Hope handmade anchor nautical umbrella cane holder stand

Description: Up for sale is a very rare antique handmade anchor nautical umbrella/cane stand made by John Hope in 1887.This large stand is completely made by hand out of carved pieces of wood and in the form of an anchor.It has a ring shackle at the top that pivots up and down in a wooden dowel and an inlaid cow bone canoe on the shaft.The stand has an anchor arm with pointed flukes and a removable tole metal tray on the quarter rounded base.It is a corner mount stand that has acquired a lovely patina from age and in good antique condition.It has its origin manufacturer sticker on the back and measures 38 1/4 inches tall by 17 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches back to front.There is one piece of molding missing on the top/side of the base as seen in photos.
