Description: Offering a rare, lacquered wood, Japanese Bento Box in the shape of an owl. This owl bento box measures about 16" in height and about 7.5" in width. This stunning piece is completely hand painted, every feather meticulously painted in gold over black. The handle and base are also lacquered wood not metal. There are eight pieces in total: 4 parts of the owls body and 4 dishes. There are no major breaks or cracks or stains. There are a couple of tiny surface separations in the lacquer but none very noticeable.
