Others I have seen were silver. This is an amazing sounding Reverb. Owner of the company was Gene Andre, a Russian migrant to USA . He was a electronics engineer wizard who worked for Ampeg. In 1969 he established his own shop, Andre Audio, making amplifiers and effects. This unit was serviced a few years ago by his son Gene Andre Jr who actually helped his dad build the gear in the day.
