Description: Rare Vintage 1930's or 1940's Wood Trinket Box with Copper Strap Hinge Detail, Jewelry Box, or Notions Box signed Donald F Duncan Wood Novelties, Chicago. Duncan was an entrepreneur, inventor, and founder of what became Duncan Toys and the Duncan Yo-yo. The box is stamped on the bottom. Measures 4 " high, 10 1/2" wide, and is 5 3/4" deep. The box is carved from cedar or pine. the handles are adorable miniatures of large 'Hope chests'. Take a look at the bottom and you will see this is all hand done work and all hardware is intact and in good condition. The finish is in beautiful condition.
