Description: This is one of the early butter churns created by E.B. Jones & manufactured by Dazey Churn & Mfg. Co. around 1910. Jar is embossed on the bottom with 562. Side is embossed with "Dazey Churn & Mfg. Co. - No. 40 Made in St. Louis U.S.A." in a circle format with 4 QT above that text. Crank mechanism is embossed with "40" on the frame, "40H" on the crank, and "W 40G" on the gear.Jar is in perfect condition, no chips, just some scuffing on the bottom. Lid has some small cracks where the crank connects to the lid.This is not the 1922 version.
