Description: Here's a scarce early glass jelly jar from the 1880s or 1890s....it has PAT APPLIED FOR embossed on the inside bottom of jar....Fruit on branches with leaves embossed on underside of original glass lid that has a ledge around the outer rim so that it sits down snug onto the top of jar.....3 3/4"tall....the jar has picket fence ribs around the bottom inside surface....the bottom half of glass is inset from the top half with a slight taper....Sparkling attic near mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind to jar or original lid. A shiny clean jar with no haze. I had never seen this jar before......
