Description: This show aired in November, 2002, as Dick Bartley celebrated the year 1964. Hour One is titled "The Best of November 1964" and Hour Two featured "Unforgettable November 1964." For Hour Three he switched to an artist tribute, “The Monkees Greatest Hits.” and Hour Four is "Mickey, Davy, Peter & Michael." The narration is outstanding, as usual, from Mr. Bartley, as is his curation of the music. Tracks 7 through 10 are bonus tracks, clean copies of songs Dick made available to radio stations who may have not had them in their libraries. This week, it’s the Laura Nyro songbook! track #7 is a classic: Save The Country” done by the 5th Dimension. Then Track 8: Eli’s Coming by Three Dog Night, Track 9: And When I Die by Blood, Sweat & Tears, and Track 10: Stoney End by Barbra Streisand. All written by Laura Nyro who died 5 years earlier. It's sad, really, that these are the last produced radio shows available for collectors. The CD was the final physical copy of a show which eventually became available as an audio file, WAV or MP3. I suppose there are still digital copies of the logs/scripts for today's shows, but somehow it's not the same. So celebrate the year 1964 and the Monkees with this show! (And, as usual, Dick includes hits from other years as well.) You’ll notice the station address has been blanked out for this posting-but you’ll receive it intact as mailed. I see that the DJ on duty was a bit rough on the paperwork, but there’s nothing to be done about that. Most stations just threw them out-thus making them collectable.
