Description: *** I SHIP TO ADDRESSES IN THE USA ONLY *** This outstanding Oversized Pottery Mug was manufactured to commemorate the DIAMOND JUBILEE of H.M. Queen Victoria in 1897. The main design is a decal transfer of a younger and of an older image of the Queen. The images are surrounded by the national flags with a crown at the top. A lovely spray of the national flowers is at the bottom with a banner that shows, "1837 VICTORIA 1897". Around the back is a full commemoration as follows, "IN COMMEMORATION OF THE GLORIOUS REIGN OF ENGLAND'S BELOVED QUEEN VICTORIA RULER OVER 300 MILLION SOULS AND MONARCH OF A MIGHTY EMPIRE ON WHICH THE SUN NEVER SETS BORN MAY 24TH 1819 ASCENDED THE THRONE JUNE 20TH 1837 MARRIED FEBRUARY 10TH 1840 -AND - ON JUNE 20TH 1897 COMPLETED THE LONGEST REIGN IN ENGLISH HISTORY". [The "o" in ON is a little worn away] There is a splash of gilding on top of the handle. The mug is thoroughly "crazed", a very typical characteristic of old pottery pieces.
