In 1977, in the era of punk/new wave, Queen changed course and released their signature songs "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions", as well as single hits such as "Spread Your Wings" and "It's Late", and they toured the US together. This album was a turning point for Queen, and it was re-evaluated in the 40th anniversary box set for its variety of content, including Queen's new musical direction and elements of blues and jazz. The CD includes the "alternate album", which reconstructs all the songs on the album with multi-track remixes and outtakes, as well as the MFSL (Mobile Fidelity) sound source, which was converted from the original analog master and is now difficult to obtain, as well as rare sound sources including many alternate versions of the album's songs, multi-track remixes, valuable demo sound sources, and first appearances and upgraded sound sources.
