Item Summary: In 1976 this high energy, big horn, funk band from San Francisco recorded eleven tunes at various studios in Los Angeles, two of which were released on Planet Earth Records that same year. Promo copies were circulated to a few radio stations in the USA and in Europe. However the 45 rpm failed to register on any regular radio station rotations and without airplay to help build a following the band broke up in 1978. Fast forward to 2006, almost 30 years later when a popular London based DJ discovered a copy of the original single and started spinning "Nothing Left Is Real" at his club and house parties. And the rest as they say...is history. The original 1976 PURE FUNK vinyl recording now sells at auction on Ebay for between $300.00 and $900.00 per copy! And the new Alexis Records release that features a slick, smooth groove funk re-mastered version of "Nothing Left Is Real" on one side and a new release, "Get Away" on the other side has caught on in Europe and Japan like wild fire with thousands of sales and new fans since 2013 in over 40 countries! PURE FUNK has proven universal appeal and unlimited sales potential to a wide range of market segments. It's like the band says, "If you funk, then may your funk always be PURE FUNK!"
