Description: This is the USA origin version of the PT285M with 120/240Vac mains for global use DESCRIPTION: This is a Laydown Mount Tube Power Transformer with 120Vac and 240Vac Inputs & 285-0-55V-285V output (150mA), 1x 6.3Vac(3.5A), 1x 6.3/5Vac(2A) Rectifier Outputs. This is a new transformer built in the USA to our original design. Please Note before ordering-: 120Vac mains connections will require putting the (2) input windings in parallel. The 240Vac mains connections will be in series.The 6.3Vac winding will be 3.15-0.-3.15Vac (3.5A) & the combination 5/6.3Vac is typically used for a 1A to 2A rectifier tube. This is generally going to work well both in N America (120Vac) and Globally where 240Vac power is used. DESIGN DETAILS: The stack is 1.75" thick and overall dimensions are 3.38"W x 2.82"L x 3.63"H. The mounted transformer will have a skyline of approximately 2.75IN above the chassis Mounting pattern is 2.82" x 2.25" on (4) holes into a 2 x 2.75in rectangular cutout in the chassis- similar to a Fender Princeton or Deluxe chassis cutout. Lead wires are 600V rated and 8"Long minimum. Shipping Weight be be 4.5Lbs EA The unit is new construction, bobbin wound on a 2 section bobbin for safety, then varnished and enclosed in shielded covers over and under the coils APPLICATION NOTES: The separate rectifier heater winding will run an EZ81, 5Y3 or similar 2A current draw rectifier tube, or if you want a higher B+ you can use it with a diode bridge. Please verify the chassis cutout before ordering. LOGISTICS NOTES: Shipping weight will be 4.5LBS EA. A single unit is packed into a 6x4x4 box then overpacked into a double wall box for shipment.
