This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is intensely flamed maple. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthiers and our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new set up with newly fitted pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!Interesting old German quality violin in immediate playing condition!
