Description: Pristine Lionel 3484 Pennsylvania Operating Boxcar with Original Box Click image to enlarge Description The 3484 Pennsylvania Operating Box Car was Lionel's first 6464 style boxcar used for the Operating Boxcar line in 1953. This 10 1/2- inch version replaced Lionel's long running 9 1/4 inch series. It is the most common of the 10 1/2 inch series of cars likely due to its road name as the famous Pennsy name provided the perfect add-on to all customers who purchased Pennsy 2020's, 671's, or 671RR's or GG-1's. This one comes with a Middle Classic style box from 1953 with the tuck flap number 3484-15. This one shows its age but has seven of its eight original flaps and some soiling and discoloration due to age but is still a brick and in amazing condition considering its age. The 3484 came with eh following features: 6464-type Type 1 operating boxcar Tuscan-painted body White heat-stamped lettering Tuscan-painted single-block doors PRR logo on the right Brake wheel Operating plunger mechanism Rubberized man Bar-end Trucks I am a long time member of the TCA and LCCA and guarantee that my descriptions are 100% accurate or your money back.
