This artifact weighs 7 lb., and meets the 3 important criteria for recognizing the validity of a fossilized dinosaur egg: the thickness of the shell is uniform; it is curved, and ovoidal in shape; there are tiny pores on the surface with concomitant ridges/bumps called "mammillae." Also, there are cracks in the shell. This is an exquisite example of functional art that was created for the ages. Found "as is" in East Multnomah County, Oregon, near the Columbia River Gorge.
