Description: This pot comes to us from a private NYC collection (Date estimated is 850 - 1500 A.D.). It was excavated from the Tuza cultural complex in Columbia. It's exterior is slipped red and features rectangular and diamond shapes all the way up to the lip of the vessel. The Narino culture refers to the communities of people who occupied the mountains of Narino, Columbia from 800 to 1500 A.D. The pot is about 4.5" wide and 3.25" tall. Please note that we do not import or export ancient items. Additionally, our items typically come from people and businesses that we know and trust. We tend to avoid buying from unknown sources or individuals because we cannot guarantee that they have obtained their inventory through legitimate means. Our listings are researched prior to posting and our descriptions are informed by our own knowledge and experience as well as by the vendors from which we obtain our inventory. Thus, our titles and descriptions are our opinions as to the nature and history of the object for sale. Even so, we welcome discussions and questions PRIOR to purchase.
