Per the Alloy-Artifacts site it is a pre 1930s example considering the following features: - The Diamond and Horseshoe Logo forge mark on both sides by the hanging hole (first used in 1908 and into the 1920s), - It is marked “A312” near the adjusting knurl (early production), - It is marked “Duluth, Minn. U.S.A.” (early production), - It is marked “Diamond Calk Horse Shoe Co.” (2 words) not Horseshoe (1 word) (early production), - It is marked “TOOL-STEEL” “DROP-FORGED” not DIAMALLOY (DIAMALLOY started in 1931), - The hanging hole is 9/16" and not broached (which started in 1939), “TOOL-STEEL” is a high-carbon steel The overall length is just a bit over 8 inches, and the maximum opening is 0.937 inches. The head thickness was measured at 0.607 inches. It has a V stamped on both sides near the adjusting knurl. I found no other markings. The wrench has signs of use; scratches and dents mostly. It also looks like it had a black coating of some sort at one time, the remnants of which are still on part of the jaw that moves.
